James Grantham attended the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1988. Shortly after, he was admitted to South Texas College of Law in 1989 and received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1992.
He is licensed to practice before the State Courts of Texas, United States District Courts for the Southern District of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Further, James has argued in front of the Houston Court of Appeals and the Fifth Circuit Federal Court in New Orleans. He is also a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
When Mr. Grantham was a new attorney, he had the opportunity to work for a firm that represented plaintiffs as well as defense clients. While defense provided constant work and steady pay, James knew that representing the injured person was far more rewarding. His primary area of practice is personal injury, and he has devoted 100% of his practice to personal injury litigation.
Mr. Grantham feels that it is not only his job to represent his clients, but also to explain to them why the system works the way it does. His most rewarding work comes from helping people that have been treated unfairly by insurance companies. Insurance companies hire professionals to represent their interests and injured persons need someone to represent theirs. If you or someone you know has been injured through the fault of another, James offers his services whether by free consultation or by attorney representation.
